Bayside Little League All-Stars Shine
In the Texas Division (nine-year-olds), the West topped the East, 9-5. Parker Susser homered for the East in defeat. Starring for the East was Connor Goger, Trevor Tesoriero, Christian Cardenas, Nicholas Rathkamp, Nicholas Makandrakis, Anthony Vieto, Gianni Panepinto, Ethan Nittolo, Eric Gayle, Nicholas Waitward, Austin Lee and Andrew Zinn.
The West squad, coached by Rich Neuwiller, was led by Ruaziaro DiBella, Dennis Mitts, Connor Magee, John Paul Castaneda, Tristan Nagel, Danny Lorusso, Alexander Lai, Sebastian Milo, Nicholas Garrisi, Nicholas Bossotti, Anthony Chiodi, Joseph Leuthner, Charlie Neuwiller, Ryan Neuweiller, Steven Bellanie, Matthew Santagato, Adam Spinner and Steven Yun.
In the nine-year-old division, the West routed the East, 11-5. Dylan Chateau had a ground rule double.

RMGVM Little League
Reebok advances to championship
Reebok advanced to the Minor Division’s National League championship game after defeating Juniper Elbow and AMEF. In game one, Reebok’s Matthew Fox pitched a complete game, striking out 14 batters along the way to a 6-2 victory.
In game two, Daniel Ammirati’s complete game pitching performance was the key in Reebok’s 8-6 victory over AMEF.

D&A Kitchen rallies
Trailing 7-0 at one point, D&A Kitchen rallied for an 8-7 win in their regular season finale to lock up second place. In the fifth inning, Chris Matone homered, Chris Mahon drove in three more with a bases-clearing double and Matt Morscher hit the game-winning two-run homer.

Giardino Ristorante rolls in opening round
In the opening round of the double elimination playoffs, Giardino Restaurant routed eMerging iMage, 12-4. Gary Zeppetelli pitched four solid innings and Thomas Foley and Andrew Thomas had three RBIs apiece.

Softball
Super Mix Music finished on top
Super Mix Music topped Freddy’s Pizza, 7-2, to finish the regular season in first place at 10-2. Lindsay Locosa had two hits and scored twice, Britany Naposki added three hits and two runs scored and Laura Campos had two hits, scored once and drove in one.

All-Star game turns into shootout
The Rookie Division All-Star Game wasn’t exactly a pitcher’s duel. The Americans routed the Nationals, 25-11. Edgar Rodriguez hit a three-run homer for the Nationals, but the American plated 10 runs in the fifth inning on a three-run shot by Joshua Moronta, and doubles by Juan Rivas, Jarin Salvato and Jeremy Kisten.
Moronta and Rodriguez were named as the MVP’s of the game for their respective teams.


CYO Baseball
Maroutsis tosses No-Hitter
Jonathan Maroutsis of Bayside kept Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament’s playoff hopes alive by pitching a no-hitter against St. Kevin’s. Maroutsis was masterful, striking out 11 batters.
