Thomas W. Woods passed away on June 30 at the age of 92. Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Thomas and Bridget (Donner) Woods. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and a member of the Catholic War Veterans and the Holy Name Society of St. Joseph's Church in Astoria. Formerly of Astoria, he moved to Rhode Island in 2001. Woods was a devoted husband to the late Viola, loving father and a cherished grandfather. He leaves a son, Thomas Woods; two daughters, Regina McNerney and Rosemary Donohue; six grandchildren, Shannon and Meghan Woods; Peter, Aran, and James McNerney and James Donohue. He was the brother of Patrick and Terence Woods. Arrangements were handled by the R.P. Drago Funeral Home in Astoria. A Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Joseph's R.C. Church in Astoria. Interment was at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, LI.
