Woodside man plunges off bridge

A NY1 News cameraman died after he plunged over the side of the Queensborough Bridge and onto an exit ramp last week during a walk home with a friend.
Christian Milin, 27, of Woodside, suffered massive injuries from the fall and was pronounced dead at Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Milin and a 25-year-old friend had been walking back to Queens at 3:37 a.m. after an evening of barhopping in Manhattan when Milin accidentally fell over the edge of the pedestrian walkway onto the ramp approximately 30 feet below. Milin was believed to have been intoxicated at the time of the accident.
An employee of NY1 since 2001, Milin shot stories, conducted interviews, and provided production support for both NY1 and NY1 Noticias, according to a statement on NY1's website.
Last year, he had accompanied NY1 Noticias reporter Alejandra Soto to Honduras for a special report.
