June Merring

June Merring, 92, of Flushing, passed away at home on August 29. For 52 years, the beloved wife of the late George E. Merring. Loving mother of Wayne Merring, Theresa Merring, Carole Kramer and her husband Joel, and Robert Merring and his wife Susan. Cherished grandma of Michelle Merring Hayes, Irene June Merring, Kristin Merring Warrick, Thomas Merring, and Alexa Merring. Doting great-grandmother of Benjamin and Jaselle Hayes. Past president of the Flushing Council of Women’s Organizations and Chairlady of &#8220Jottings.” She was also a member of the St. Andrew Avellino Rosary Confraternity, the Mother’s Club and the Friendship Club. Arrangements were handled by the Martin A. Gleason Funeral Home in Flushing. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Andrew Avellino R.C. Church, followed by interment at St. John’s Cemetery.
