Need an example of how crazy things have been? Check out last week's results. Three days after upsetting Christ the King in front of a packed house at Holy Cross, the Knights traveled down Francis Lewis Boulevard to battle archrival St. Francis Prep. But, in front of an overflow crowd, the Terriers defeated Holy Cross, 70-65 Friday night.A few miles away in Middle Village, Christ the King needed overtime to beat Archbishop Molloy, 45-40. The Stanners were coming into the game off of a 63-60 home win over St. Raymond's.St. Francis Prep was led by emerging star Mike Cavataio, who scored a game-high 30 points, including 13 in the fourth quarter in the “Battle of the Boulevard.” Keith Nandin added 11 points for St. Francis Prep, which improved to 12-2, 3-1 in the league.Sylven Landesberg was held to a season-low 12 points, while Kayvon Roberts, one of the stars against Christ the King, had 20 points, Shameel Carty has 12 and Ernest Freeman added 11 for Holy Cross, which fell to 9-2, 1-1.Led by a game-high 17 points from Florida-bound Erving Walker and 11 points from Ryan Pearson, Christ the King (9-2, 3-1) held on to beat Molloy (6-6, 2-1), which was led by Morgan Kelly's 9 points.
