Symposium on Middle East soon

Queens College, located at 65-30 Kissena Boulevard, will hold a symposium on Wednesday, March 14, dealing with “Middle Eastern Hotspots: Challenges and Prospects.” During the event, which will be held from noon until 2 p.m., speakers will examine major issues in the Middle East - including the war in Iraq, the Iranian nuclear stalemate, and the paths to peace. The symposium, which is free and open to the public, will feature three speakers, all of whom actively research and lecture on the Middle East: Ziva Flamhaft and Mark Rosenblum, both of Queens College, and Azzedine Layachi of St. John’s University.
