Helen G. Hurley

Helen G. Hurley passed away recently. She was 86 years old.
A veteran of World War II, she was active in the Blessed Sacrament Church for many years, as well as the Rosary Society, the Mother’s Club; and the Catecuminate. She also served as an Ecumenical Minister.
Beloved wife of James H. Hurley. Loving mother of Paul Hurley and Mary Mehmel. Dear mother-in-law of Trudy and Roger Mehmel. Devoted grandmother of Lauryn, Peter and Sean. Dear sister of Anne, Jean, Nancy, Gloria, Robert, Richard and Gilbert.
Arrangements were handled by the Joseph McGrath Funeral Home in Jackson Heights. A funeral Mass was held at Blessed Sacrament Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 267-07 76th Avenue, New Hyde Park, NY 11042.
