Although no borough standouts will take part in the Jordan Brand All-American Classic, there will be four participants - Christ the King center Andrew Gabriel and point guard Malik Boothe, St. Francis Prep swingman Mike Cavataio, and former Bayside center and Blair Academy senior Patrick Hazel - in the Regional Game Saturday evening at Madison Square Garden.
The event showcases the top high players from the tri-state area in a City vs. Suburbs format. Like last season, all proceeds will benefit the New York City-based charity, The Children’s Aid Society.
Beyond the thrilling experience of playing at the Garden in front of friends and family, all players are afforded the opportunity to meet Michael Jordan during the week and prior to tip-off.
