A 15-year-old male was the victim of a violent cell phone theft on March 14, and now police are asking for the public’s help in collaring the suspect, Louis Drummond.
According to cops, the victim was approached from behind at 87-13 97th Avenue by a 19-year-old man who told him to give up his cell phone. The perp then punched the victim in the face, took his phone and fled down 97th Avenue. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
Robber Took Video Game
A 21-year-old suspect allegedly punched his 12-year-old victim in the face before taking his portable video game from his pocket.
The suspect has been identified as David Melendez.

Woman Killed By Bus Is Identified
The 23-year-old woman struck and killed by a minibus at 133rd Street and Jamaica Avenue has been identified as Shohana Shammi of Briarwood. According to police, she was struck as she crossed 133rd Street on April 26. There is no criminality suspected in this case.
