The circus came to town

UniverSoul Circus, the only African American owned and operated circus in the U.S., was back in southeast Queens at Roy Wilkins Park to captivate audiences of all ages with their international troupe of acrobats, aerialists and daredevils. Ringmaster Shuckey Duckey (second. left) and Zeke (left), the Ringmaster’s sidekick, welcomed Assemblymember William Scarborough (right) as their guest Ringmaster for a night. “Southeast Queens is one of the most fortunate communities to have the Soul Circus right in it’s own backyard,” said Scarborough.
