Chief of Staff for
Judge Judy Harris Kluger
Bruna DiBiase is “thrilled and honored” to have been elected as President of the Queens County Women’s Bar Association, part of the larger Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York.
The Queens Chapter of the association, which boasts over 500 members, “provides ongoing guidance and leadership to the law community,” DiBiase explained, in the form of meetings, events and groups for lawyers.
DiBiase, who graduated from Hofstra School of Law, is also involved in the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the Queens County Bar Association, the Network of Bar Leaders and the American Bar Association. She is also the secretary for the Queens County Catholic Lawyers Association, and a past president of the Columbian Lawyers Association, Inc. She is also a member of the New York State Local Courts Advisory Committee, which recommends legislative changes. In 2001, she was the recipient of the Outstanding Service Award presented by the American Committee on Italian Migration. DiBiase also teaches classes at Queens College CUNY.
An attorney who had her own practice in Bayside, DiBiase - who lives with her family in Whitestone - now works as Chief of Staff for Judge Judy Harris Kluger, the Deputy Chief Administrative Judge for Court Operations and Planning for New York State. As Chief of Staff, DiBiase helps to provide oversight and planning the implementing of “problem-solving courts” all over New York State. She also serves as counsel addressing legal, legislative, operational and training issues involving court reform, restructuring projects and specialized courts that are spearheaded by the office.
