Kids camp out in Albany

Campers from the One Stop Richmond Hill Community Center Summer Camp pose with State Senator Serphin Maltese during a recent visit to Albany. The trip, sponsored by Maltese and Assemblymember Audrey Pheffer, gave kids the unique opportunity to learn about the inner-workings of state government. “I am pleased to be able to host these students in our state capitol,” said Maltese. “This program provides them with a solid foundation on which to start the new school year.” In addition, as part of the program, camp counselor Stefanie Weinstein and students Emilie Wagner and Kadeen Lopez were also guests on Maltese’s weekly cable television program, which airs on QPTV Channel 56 on Mondays at 11 a.m. (encore presentation Saturdays at 9 p.m.).
