Police Nab Burglar

On Saturday, September 1, at approximately 11 p.m., officers from the 106th Precinct were flagged down by citizen claiming to have witnessed a burglary on 106th Street in Ozone Park. When police arrived at the scene, they spotted a male fleeing from a private residence. After pursuing the suspect on foot, officers apprehended him about two blocks from the scene of the burglary. The suspect was in possession of $5,000 in cash, which he had allegedly stolen from the house, as well as a watch he had also swiped.
