Officers of the 111th Precinct are seeking a man in connection with an armed robbery near 210th Street and 30th Avenue. According to police reports, the unknown suspect, who was wearing a scarf over his face, approached the first victim, held a knife to his stomach, and said, “Empty your pockets or I will cut you.” The suspect then told a second victim to empty his pockets. He fled with money and a cell phone.
Domestic Dispute Turns Up Guns
Police responded to a domestic violence call after a man allegedly attacked his wife inside their Bayside home.
Nicholas Benetos, 24, was arrested for assault and harassment, but when cops asked the couple if they owned any weapons, officers were told there were three guns inside the home, according to a spokesperson for the 111th Precinct. Police discovered that all the guns were unregistered and charged Benetos and his wife Lisa with criminal possession of a weapon.
