Spa comes to Atlas Park

MARTA VICTORIA COLON
Imagine eating, shopping and getting a manicure and pedicure all under one roof. Well, beginning on November 1, customers at The Shops at Atlas Park in Glendale will stop imagining and start living it.
The spa, opening on the west side of Atlas Park to the left of Borders Book Store, will offer traditional and holistic body treatments designed to pamper skin and give total relaxation in a serene environment.
“One of our missions is to be able to provide the kind of comprehensive mix of services and retailers you can find in Manhattan here in Glendale, at our lifestyle center,” said Damon Hemmerdinger, Director of Development at Atlas Park. “The addition of Floris Day Spa and Nails is essential to our goal.”
It will offer customers facials, massages and luxury spa packages in a beautiful environment with simple d/cor. Customers will benefit from an all-licensed professional staff of estheticians, massage therapists and bodywork therapists. Complete hair services and waxing will also be available to men and women.
“It’s great working here because I can get so much done during my lunch hour - going to the New York Sports Club, shopping for gifts at Blue Tulip and now, getting spa treatments,” said Olga Rivera Horvath, an employee at ATCO, the property management company for The Shops.
Located at 8000 Cooper Avenue, the Shops at Atlas Park offers men and women an exciting mix of apparel, jewelry, shoes, fashion accessories, housewares, gourmet foods and a variety of cafes, bistros and restaurants.
