Bayside Historical Society gets grant

The Society was the recipient of a grant totaling $4938, as part of Whole Foods’ “5% Day” program. Worthy charities, receive a grant equal to 5 percent of a store’s income on a designated day.
Johnson, seen here wearing period garb at one of the Society’s historical displays at the Manhasset Whole Foods Market, was instrumental in securing the funding. “We are delighted to receive such a generous contribution,” she said, adding that it would directly benefit the Society’s outreach programs.
