A new U.S. first class postage stamp was unveiled in the jury room of the Civil Court building in Jamaica, honoring those who do their civic duty as jurors. Dozens of people who were on jury duty witnessed the October 23 ceremony and speeches by Queens Commissioner of Jurors Gloria D’Amico and postal authorities.
The 41-cent stamp features a depiction of 12 multi-colored silhouettes of men and women of various features, representing the universality of the jury pool.
