Bakery back in action

State Senator Serphin R. Maltese (left, with proclamation) recently presented a special proclamation to Vito Grimaldi, (right, with proclamation) the owner of Grimaldi’s Home of Bread in Ridgewood, which is believed to be the largest wholesale hearth baker in the borough. The bakery, established in 1909 by Grimaldi’s father Joseph, had closed briefly for remodeling, and in honor of their reopening, they hosted a fall festival for the neighborhood at their shop, located at 2101 Menahan Street.
