Holy Cross gives thanks, food

Most people think of Thanksgiving as a big meal, preceded by a short prayer - but not the boys at Holy Cross High School in Flushing.
On Wednesday, November 21 at the first Catholic high school for boys in Queens, school Chaplain, Father Frank Schwartz, attended by Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion and Altar Servers, celebrated a Mass of Thanksgiving.
The Mass was to thank the students, friends and family members who collected over 50 boxes of food to feed 50 hungry families and more food for the residents of the Queen of Peace Home in Queens Village.
