Science can be a drag

Students from four local Catholic schools had New York Hall of Science in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park all to themselves recently, and took full advantage of the chance to enjoy all the hall has to offer.
The kids, from Immaculate Conception in Jamaica Estates; St. Nicholas of Tolentine in Jamaica; Our Lady of the Cenacle in Richmond Hill and St. Gerard Majella in Hollis had their big science day on Monday, November 19, thanks to a grant from the Diocese Alive in Hope Foundation.
The Foundation has made almost $2 million in grants this year, and provided over $6 million in tuition assistance to students in Queens and Brooklyn.
