Old-fashioned customer service is not a thing of the past at 360 Tour Group in Whitestone.
“I believe in old-fashioned customer service. It doesn’t exist anymore,” said Patrick Budaway, president of the full-service tour operator and travel provider. “I’ve been in customer service my whole life. I go out of my way to satisfy my customers. We go the extra mile, within reason.”
Budaway, who spent most of his travel career with Delta before branching out on his own, is both an experienced and savvy traveler, eager to share his know-how with customers.
A self-professed, “travel guru,” he’s traveled the globe independently. He named his company 360 Tour Group to reflect the company’s ultimate goal of providing around the world tours.
The 37-year-old Budaway credits his parents, both raised in Eastern Europe, with nurturing his love of travel. As a teenager, he visited his parents’ native countries and after graduation from college, he embarked on a career in the airline industry.
With an extensive background in reservations, ticketing, airport customer service, charter coordination, and operations, it was natural for Budaway to pursue his own tour operation.
Two years in the making, 360 Tours now offers fully escorted tours throughout the United States and Canada, with plans to include international tours.
“I’ve got a great product and I’m willing to customize tours to suit the needs of the individual,” he said.
If customers want something a bit less structured, he can create a package suited to their needs from an “a la carte” menu of popular destinations.
Budaway is knowledgeable about not only the destinations, but all the necessary details that go into planning and implementing a successful trip. Travel today has never been more accessible and affordable, he added.
“I have learned so much from my travel,” said Budaway. “I can’t get enough of it.”
