Frances Jane Adams

Frances Jane Adams, former long-time resident of Jackson Heights and Whitestone, passed away on Sunday, November 18 after a long illness.
She was a veteran of World War II, having served with the 15th Air Force in Europe as a cartographer.
A devout Catholic, she was an active parishioner of St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church in Ormand Beach, Florida.
She was the beloved wife of George Manning Adams, Sr. for 62 years and loving mother to their seven surviving children: Theresa Jane Kelly, George Manning Adams, Jr., Margaret Elizabeth Giangreco, Carol Anne Russo, Mary Josephine Nardone, Frances Evelyn LaMagna, and Walter Eugene Adams.
She was a most cherished grandmother to 29 and great-grandmother to 18.
She is also survived by her sister Mary Alice Quigley of Jackson Heights.
Arrangements were handled by the Martin A. Gleason Funeral Home in Whitstone. A Christian burial was held at St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church in Whitestone. Interment was at Calverton National Cemetery.
