St. John’s Prep National Honor Society

St. John’s Prep in Astoria inducted 54 members (52 pictured) into the National Honor Society (NHS) during a ceremony recently. In addition, four students were selected as the school’s officers for the Honor Society. Kimberley Kearns will serve as the group’s President, Kristen Senese as Vice President, Daniel Santos as Secretary and Alexis Michaelides as Treasurer. Founded in 1921, the NHS admits students who excel academically, and display leadership, service, and character. An estimated one million students participate in the group’s activities as well as those of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) each year.
