Arrest Made In Attempted Theft

A man has been arrested for allegedly trying to steal a box of silverware from the Macy’s located at 242-02 61st Avenue. According to police, Peter Griffin, 55, was observed by store security taking the item. When he was approached, a struggle ensued and he struck the guard, causing injury.

Wallet Stolen During Tag Sale
Police say a victim left his wallet containing credit cards unattended during a tag sale. Suspect(s) then took the wallet and made purchases and withdrawals with the cards.
