Clowns cheer up Elmhurst Hospital

Sick kids and seniors at Elmhurst Hospital Center got an unusual visit for the holidays - not the jolly man in red that so often makes surprise stops in December but from a troop of fun-filled bozos.
The group of 15 clowns from NY Clown Alley - led by Clown Alley President Cido the Clown, more commonly known as Cyrus Zavieh’s Assistant Director of the hospital’s Emergency Department - entertained patients in the pediatric and geriatric units with face painting and magic tricks. The event, held on Wednesday, December 19, included a visit to patient Albricio Lozodo (pictured, center).
“The clowns visited our Pediatric Department and brought smiles to the faces of our pediatric patients,” said Jacki McCann, a spokesperson for the hospital. “They were wonderful.”
