Meet The Department Head

Name: Rob Serikstad, CPA
Title: Controller
Background: Serikstad is a Certified Public Accountant with 28 years of experience primarily in the area of real estate. He spent the first 14 of those years working in the realm of public accounting. While in public accounting, Serikstad conducted and reviewed the audits of hundreds of cooperative housing corporations. As part of that practice, he attended hundreds of shareholder and board meetings of those cooperatives.
Serikstad is proud to have served at North Shore Towers and Country Club since June of 1998.
Duties: Serikstad assists the Treasurer, Bob Ricken, his fellow Board Members, the General Manager, Glen Kotowski, Board committees, and his fellow department heads in the financial aspects of their responsibilities. He addresses the financial needs and inquiries of shareholders and potential shareholders. Serikstad also attends meetings of the Board of Directors and the Finance Committee. He monitors and works to enhance internal controls over the resources at the Towers. Each month, Serikstad prepares an accrual basis financial report for the Board of Directors and the Finance Committee. His duties also include investments, insurance procurement and administration, maintenance and repair of electronic data processing equipment and software, employee benefits, supervision of the accounting staff, and facilitation of the work of the independent audit firm in the process of their annual audit.
Biggest Challenge: Cost containment.
Favorite Thing: Serikstad’s favorite task is assisting residents with any financial aspect relative to their homes.
Future Goals: Serikstad is looking forward to working harder than ever with his talented and professional teammates to further improve the finest cooperative residence in the world!
