Truck Flips, Spills Asbestos

Traffic was backed up for hours on the Clearview Expressway near the Long Island Expressway after an afternoon accident on Sunday in which a tractor-trailer believed to have been carrying asbestos flipped over.

The driver, Artur Gaska, 39, was arrested on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident after his vehicle struck a median divider and toppled over.

Cleanup efforts lasted for hours.
