Fun activities during Catholic Schools Week at Immaculate Conception School in Jamaica Estates brought smiles to young faces recently. Here, first graders from Mrs. Leddy’s class participate in Pajama Day and that included all classes from Pre K to 3rd grade. Other events on Monday, January 28, included “Twin Day” for grades four to eight, where students paired up to dress alike, and an annual sixth grade “Mummy Wrap,” where students studied Pharoic Egypt and then used toilet paper and markers rather than linen and natron to duplicate the ancient Egyptian technique of preservation.
