“Back to the Garden” the impressive multi-media art show at the Crossing Art Gallery in Flushing. Featured are works by local Asian artists ranging from this traditional Chinese scene, rendered in the style of Vincent Van Gogh by Woodside resident Zhang Hongtu (left) to computer-manipulated photo and video images by Baysider Yo-Yo Xiao (right.) Curator Luchia Meihua Lee (center) explained that the name came from the Joni Mitchell song “Woodstock” and the conceptual garden is “the wide variety of human needs and how we approach them in daily life.” The show is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., or by appointment, through Saturday April 26. The Crossing Art gallery is in Queens Crossing, 136-20 38th Avenue (enter at 39th Avenue off Main Street) in Flushing. Call 718-359-4333 or visit www.crossingart.com for more information.
