An unknown Hispanic male has been a patient at Mary Immaculate Hospital for the past two months, and officials are trying to find out who he is.
He responds to the name “Rodrigo,” is 5’5’’, 130 pounds, has brown eyes and dark curly hair with some gray. He appears to understand Spanish, but is unable to express himself verbally or in writing due to evidence of a stroke he has experienced.
He arrived at the hospital by ambulance after a 9-1-1 call from a homeowner on 182nd Street in Jamaica. Although he was disoriented, when he was picked up, he was clean, well dressed and had $20 in his pocket.
Hospital officials have sought assistance from the members of the Centro Hispana “Cruzcatlan,” a Housing and Immigrant advocacy organization in Jamaica. Members visited him but they were not able to identify him. Under supervision he was escorted to the area in which he was picked up, but no one recognized him there.
Efforts of the 103rd Precinct’s Missing Persons unit and Community Affairs were also unsuccessful. If you know who this man is, contact Mary Immaculate Hospital at 718 558-9600.
