Tequila Sunrise Is The taste of Mexico

Tequila Sunrise is a culinary gem in the Bayside community. Mexican dishes, authentically prepared, are served with flare in a brightly decorated multiple level dining area. An Aztec calendar adorns one wall but most diners stare at the incredible collection of tequila lining an entire back wall of the restaurant.
All of the appetizers are delicious and easy to share; however, the guacamole, freshly prepared tableside, is not to be missed. The traditional corn chips arrive warmed with a mild to medium salsa dip.
Tequila Sunrise has a full service bar featuring many of the tequilas on display in the dining room. We enjoy the Sangria - not the red - but the amazing white Sangria by the pitcher. The daiquiris can be frozen or freshly mixed and are always a good option.
One of the best-kept secrets of the family-owned restaurant is the high quality of their beef dishes and especially their filet mignon. We always order a side dish of Presidente sauce, a wondrous combination of cream, mushrooms and brandy.
The chimichangas, enchiladas, quesadillas and tacos can be ordered in several combinations and with different cheese, chicken or beef stuffings. The kitchen can produce vegetarian dishes such as chili rellenos - roasted poblano peppers stuffed with queso blanco, battered and then deep-fried, topped with tomato sauce and served with rice and refried beans. Their fajita vegetariana is an assortment of seasonal vegetables, saut/ed with onions, mushrooms and peppers topped with white cheese and served with warm flour tortillas, pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream.
Selections from the ocean include our favorite, Acapulco flounder - battered flounder filet garnished with shrimp in a lemon/wine caper sauce served with seasonal mixed vegetables and white rice. Crepas de camarones are crepes filled with baby shrimp, braised in a creamy tomato sauce topped with melted cheese and served with white rice on the side.
Since you are never rushed at Tequila Sunrise, you will be able to enjoy the musical entertainment and sometimes you can even participate. Karaoke is on Monday nights, sing along with the Mariachi band Wednesdays through Sundays, and enjoy Sax Talk on Friday and Saturdays.
They have a dessert menu featuring cheesecake, flan, tiramisu and tres leches among others. Along with desserts, they offer a complete selection of cognacs, port wines and brandies.
With a mouth-watering Sunday brunch available from 12 – 3 p.m., a full bar, a large wine list, an extensive menu and an authentic and lively ambience, Tequila Sunrise is the place to host your graduation party, shower, christening, birthday, anniversary, rehearsal dinner, corporate party or any other special event.
Tequila Sunrise is one restaurant that is worth a wait in line.
