On May 19, the next program for the National Council of Jewish Women— Lakeville Section—at the New Hyde Park recreational center in Clinton Martin Park at noon, will explore the pairing of teenagers and Holocaust survivors to record their stories and discuss them. Dr. Irving Roth, himself a survivor and Director of the Holocaust Resource Center at Temple Judea, will be our speaker.
Our Seasoned Singles programs listed here are open only to National Council members.
May 7 is our very special luncheon at Temple Avodah, honoring Women Who Make a Difference. The donation is $36. Call Lila Weber if you would like to attend.
Seasoned Singles will be going to the Queens Museum on June 3, with a refreshment stop on the way home.
On June 24, all Queens resident members are invited to a tour of City Hall and a luncheon hosted by our Councilmember, David Weprin.
We are collecting sports equipment to donate to children of abused women who are living in safe shelters. Call Marcy at 516-352-6589 if you have any sports balls or other related equipment to donate.
Our priorities as a women’s organization include the advancement of the well-being and status of women, including their children and families. We work to ensure and advance the individual and civil rights both here and in Israel.
