Police are still asking for the public’s assistance in catching the gunman who has robbed a total of 12 banks in Queens and Long Island.
The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-30s, approximately 5’7” and of “medium build.” He shows a silver-colored hand gun when he demands the cash, according to police. The man sometimes wears a beard; at other times he is clean shaven. Police say he always wears gloves.
The string of robberies began on Monday, February 11, in Flushing. The latest “hit” was on Wednesday, May 13, at a Sovereign Bank in Suffolk County.
A reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest and conviction. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
