Senator For A Day

State Senator Serphin Maltese hosted two students from M.S. 202 in Ozone Park as “Senators For A Day.” Edward Bowers and Jessica Sereno are both 8th graders in Mr. Quinn’s class. Bowers is the Student Government Vice President and Sereno is the Treasurer. They are both interested in law and politics. As “Senator for a Day,” the students shadowed Maltese throughout the day in the State Capitol, attending meetings and Legislative sessions and joined the Senator on his weekly cable television show that appears on Queens Public TV.
