Pitcher
James Roubal, McClancy
McClancy’s senior ace had a stellar season, going 5-1 with a 2.15 earned run average. He had two shutouts, including a 1-0 playoff victory against Molloy.
Catcher
Matt Valle, Holy Cross
The Bayside native had the pedigee — his uncles played professionally, but he also backed it up with a solid stick and good defensive work.
First base
Rob Renzi, Holy Cross
With all the talk about adjusting to wood bats, Renzi, who played first and third base, had little trouble, as witnessed by a six RBI game againt rival Prep.
Second base
Dennis Nover, St. Francis Prep
Speed kills, just ask St. Francis Prep’s opponents after Nover was moved into the three spot in the lineup, as was the case late in the regular season.
Third base
Sebastian Grazziani, St. Francis Prep
Grazziani had big shoes to fill when Paul Karmas and his bat left for St. John’s. But the third baseman was strong at the plate and in the field for Prep.
Shortstop
Lucas Romeo, St. Francis Prep
Adelphi University is getting a steal in Romeo, who can hit, field, throw and has a heart that cannot be measured. The heart and soul of the Terriers.
Outfield
Tommy Boggiano, Molloy
In a rare down year for Archbishop Molloy, Boggiano was the lone star for the Stanners, and was one of the best pure hitters in the borough.
Outfield
Tom Cloonen, McClancy
McClancy’s leadoff hitter took a while to adjust to wood, but he was one of the best defensive outfielders and the junior will be of the league’s best next year.
Outfield
Kyle Contino, McClancy
Contino came around at the plate when it counted, late in the season and in the playoffs. The senior outfielder will play at Queens.
Utility
A.J. Boardman, St. Francis Prep
Boardman did a little bit of everything for the Terriers this year. When he wasn’t Prep’s No. 1 pitcher, he was a dependable designated hitter.
