Fires ignite south Queens

Fires broke out in South Queens, engulfing an unoccupied Queen Anne- type mansion at 135-02 219th Street in St. Albans (1) consuming all floors and burning through the roof. An electrical fire gutted a home in Lindenwood (2). The blaze broke out on the second floor, and got so hot that the aluminum siding on the structure next door melted. And on Friday, May 30, a three-alarm fire at Jamaica Avenue and 92nd Street gutted Smiley’s Yarns (3) and the apartment above.
There were reportedly no injuries in any of the three incidents.
