The Central Astoria Local Development Coalition's free Movies on the Waterfront program will run through mid-August at the Astoria Park Lawn.
The films, free of charge, will screen at 8:30 p.m. at the Astoria Park Lawn on Shore Boulevard between the Hell Gate Bridge and the Astoria Pool.
On July 28, the coalition will screen the documentary "Mad Hot Ballroom" and on Aug. 4, the group will show the Academy Award-winning animated film "Ratatouille." On Aug. 11, "Hairspray" will screen and on Aug. 18, the coalition will show "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix."

The coalition will also continue its Summer Fun children's series July 29 and 30 with "Uncle Brothers," which incorporates music, humor and audience participation, at Athens Square Park. The performance begins at 10:30 a.m.
The series will also include a Salsa Festival at Athens Square Park Aug. 5 and at the Dutch Kills Playground Aug. 6. The festival will begin at 10:30 a.m. on both days.
