On Sunday July 27, police arrested a man who allegedly jumped into the passenger seat of a vehicle and swiped the driver’s cell phone and iPod and threatened to kill him.
William Carins, 22, allegedly hopped into the victim’s 2007 Mercedes-Benz on Eliot Avenue near 74th Street and threatened him before taking the electronics.
Carins has been charged with grand larceny, robbery and unlawful imprisonment.
