The founding and senior partner of Simon & Gilman, LLP was born and raised in Queens and attended public schools in New York City, graduating from Newtown High School in 1969.
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Long Island University (LIU), graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1973, and received his Juris Doctorate degree from the Franklin Pierce Law Center, in Concord, New Hampshire, three years later.
He is admitted to the practice of law in New York State, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and is admitted before the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit.
Simon has practiced law in the community for over 28 years at the same location, focusing extensively in the areas of: personal injury, wills, estates, real estate, criminal law, landlord/tenant and Social Security Disability.
He is a member of the Queens County Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, New York Social Security Bar Association, Sustaining Member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives and the United States Tennis Association.
Simon continues to play competitive tennis, relying on his experience as a former player on the tennis circuit. He is married and has three children (who also play tennis). He is also an avid Yankees fan.
