Queens Public Television (QPTV) will debut on October 30 a one-hour political show featuring Queens Courier Publisher Victoria Schneps-Yunis and local candidates for office in the hotly contested races.
“Queens Vote 2008: Meet the Candidates,” features Schneps-Yunis as moderator, conducting one-on-one interviews with local candidates in selected races throughout the borough. Each candidate will be asked three questions and have an additional two minutes to address the public directly on a topic of their choice.
The show will air on October 30 at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Channel 35; 12 p.m. on Channel 56; and 8 p.m. on Channel 34. Friday, October 31, the show will run at 12 p.m. on Channel 35. For Saturday, Sunday and Monday listings, viewers are encouraged to visit QPTV’s “Program Guide” at qptv.org.
The station will also feature two hours of live coverage on election night - something it has not done in 15 years, QPTV Producer John Collins, said.
So tune in to QPTV, cable channel 34, on election night, Tuesday, November 4 from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. for live coverage of local elections.
