Luxury car company BMW is trying to donate $12 million to breast cancer research, and they need your help - they want you to take one for a spin.
On Thursday, October 16, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Rallye BMW at 1 Brush Hollow Road in Westbury, is participating in the “BMW Ultimate Drive.”
For every volunteer who drives one of their specially-designated models around a seven-mile course, BMW Corporate donates $1 per mile to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a Dallas-based network of breast cancer survivors and activists with over 125 affiliates nation-wide.
Since starting their drive in Florida in 1997, BMW has donated more than $11 million, and hopes to break the $12 million mark this year, according to the company.
The cars are the latest BMW models - including the all-new 1 Series and the X6 Sports Activity Coupe. There is also a “Signature Car,” for participants to sign in support of the organization.
Licensed drivers interested in participating should call Rallye BMW immediately at 516-393-0000 or visit their web page at www.rallyebmw.com/MiscPage_22.
