Queensborough Community College (QCC) will host an Indian-Jewish service to commemorate the victims of last week’s terrorist attacks which targeted two luxury hotels, a Jewish center and other sites in the Indian city of Mumbai, killing 188 people.
The event will be held on Thursday, December 4, at 7:00 p.m. in Room S111 (Science Building, 1st Floor).
“This is a major interfaith gathering that symbolizes the strength and solidarity of our community in the face of this great tragedy,” said Dr. Arthur Flug, director of the Harriet and Kenneth Kupferberg Holocaust Resource Center.
Officials attending the event will include Consul General of Israel Asaf Shariv, Queens Borough President Helen Marshall, and QCC President Eduardo J. Mart’.
The event is co-sponsored by Marshall’s office, the Kupferberg Holocaust Center and the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York. Parking is available. For more information, call 718-281-5770.
