KEW GARDENS – Police were asking the public for help in identifying woman, who is suspected of cashing fraudulent checks at a Maspeth bank and another bank in Nassau County.
The suspect was described as a black woman between 40 and 50 years old with long black hair, glasses and white nail polish. She was last seen wearing a dark jacket.
Police said the suspect entered the J.P. Morgan Chase Bank at 54−12 48th St. in Maspeth and cashed a stolen check Oct. 2.
On Nov. 2, police said the woman cashed a stolen check at the Bank of America at 1431 Hempstead Tnpk. in Nassau.
