State Senator Frank Padavan stopped by the 111th Precinct command recently, to honor two of the city’s finest, Lieutenant Chris Catechis and Police Officer Jessica Ronquillo, for excellence.
On January 27, the pair apprehended four perpetrators who were allegedly involved in a gunpoint robbery, after a brief pursuit along Francis Lewis and Northern Boulevards.
For their excellence and heroism, Senator Padavan presented Catechis and Ronquillo with the New York State Senate Liberty Medal and Award in a brief ceremony on Friday, March 27. The Medal is for individuals who merit special commendations for their actions on behalf of their fellow New Yorkers and their community.
