More than 700 people attended ‘Top Women in Business’ event

More than 700 people attended The Queens Courier and Queens Business Today’s 7th Annual Top Women in Business Networking Awards Dinner, the premiere networking event in the borough. The event took place on Thursday, April 2 at Terrace on the Park, and American Airlines presented the event.

This year, “Good Day New York” co-host Rosanna Scotto was recognized as the “Top Woman of the Year” and humanitarian, actor, writer and radio talk show host Malachy McCourt at the “Best Man of the Year.”

The Claire Shulman Award was given to Myra Baird Herce, the co-President of the Flushing Chamber of Commerce, and the TD Bank WOW Award was given to Patricia Bolanos, the Assistance Vice President, Store Manager, TD Bank, Forest Hills, Metropolitan Avenue.

During the event, attendees were able to network and visit expo tables. They also received “The Ultimate Networking Guide.”

A silent auction was held to benefit the Queens Center for Progress. Door prizes for the evening were two coach airfares donated by American Airlines and 25 tickets to the Brooklyn Cyclones donated by TB Bank.

In addition, there were several raffle prizes. They were a $100 gift certificate to Delano Mansion from the Sing Organization, two U.S. Open tickets from the USTA, a floral arrangement from Booth Flower Shop, make-up donated by Christie & Co. Salon • Spa, Divas Poker Night, scarves from Rhonda Baum and a watch donated by Alicia’s Golden Dreams.
