City Council Deputy Majority Leader Leroy Comrie provided several local college students with the opportunity to learn about the inner workings of city government, via his college internship program this past semester. Hailing from institutions of higher learning such as Stony Brook University, Brooklyn College, City College of New York, Hampton University, Lehman College, John Jay College, Hunter College and New York University, this diverse group of young leaders worked on numerous community and research projects that will eventually benefit all New Yorkers.
“I want to take the opportunity to congratulate the young women and men who interned in my office this semester,” said Comrie. “Their commitment to helping their fellow New Yorkers was evident in the long hours they spent working to help constituents in my district and coordinating budget research that will assist our office in securing resources for the community.”
Comrie is currently accepting applications for the summer. For more information, call 212-788-7084 or send a resume and letter of inquiry to rancehuff@yahoo.com.
