On April 30, P.S. 232 in Howard Beach honored Senator Joseph Addabbo on “Family Night” for all he did for the school as Councilmember. For four years, Addabbo provided funding for Midori concerts at P.S. 232.
Midori, a world-renowned violinist, performed at the school during the very first concert. Since then, a variety of professional musicians have also performed for the students, staff and parents.
Also in attendance was new City Councilmember Eric Ulrich, who promised to keep funding as much as he can.
On Thursday, May 7, jazz musician Alvin Atkinson will give two performances for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.
