Detectives from the Queens Special Victims Squad are asking for the public’s help in locating an individual wanted in connection with a rape in the early hours of Wednesday, May 20, in the vicinity of 69th Road and Queens Boulevard.
The suspect followed the victim, a female Hispanic in her 20’s, along the sidewalk. At about 4:45 a.m. he confronted her, forced her to the rear of a nearby apartment building and attacked her.
He is described as a black male, 40- to 50-years-old, 5 foot 7 inches tall, with a medium build and dark, salt-and-pepper hair, as depicted in the police sketch. He was wearing black sandals.
