State Senator Frank Padavan had a busy Saturday recently as he attended two separate Honor Court ceremonies with local Boy Scout troops. Each raised scouts to the highest rank in Boy Scouting in the U.S., that of Eagle Scout.
First, Padavan (center) appeared at Holy Family School, at 175-20 74th Avenue in Flushing, to present a State Senate Medal of Outstanding Achievement and Certificate of merit to Shane Arguello, as Scoutmaster Steven Schwartzberg (left) and Shane’s parents, A. Estrella Penedo-Arguello and Guido Arguello looked on.
Next, Padavan went to Father Smith Hall at St. Anastasia School in Douglaston, where he presented new Eagle Scout Kevin Thomas O’Connell (second from left) with a medal and certificate following a Court of Honor ceremony, as his parents, Marie and Thomas O’Connell and Troop 53 Scoutmaster Aaron Beattie observed.
