Traffic agent spat at, punched by driver: Cops

JACKSON HEIGHTS — A 35th Avenue resident was arrested after allegedly assaulting a city traffic agent last week.

Police said Abdul Jalilmia, of 71-15 35th Ave., allegedly spit on the face of and punched a traffic agent through the window of his car as he pulled away from 37th Avenue and 74th Street Aug. 18.

The Queens district attorney said Jalilmia was charged with obstructing governmental administration and two counts of attempted assault. He is due back in court Oct. 5, the DA said.
